Position: Manager of IT Systems Support

Qualifications: BS degree in MIS, Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Level: Minimum 7+ Years related experience

Reports to: CIO

General Description:

IT System support manager is charged with developing a company's IT operation plan for computer systems and network infrastructure according to established goals. The manager ensures that related hardware, software and other components are properly selected, developed, implemented, tested, deployed and maintained.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will play a major role in all aspects of maintaining the Diatherix Information Technologies operation infrastructure with initial primary focus on physical Server hardware, software, network, systems automation, vulnerability management, Microsoft Exchange server and Microsoft Active Directory Services. 
  • Physical server hardware maintenance will include, but is not limited to OS installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnostics, updating OS and updates.
  • Systems automation efforts will utilize Diatherix provided tools to develop automation scripts to include, but not limited to, the scripting of; OS image installation, 3rd party software installation, and 3rd party patching installations, security settings, and other as applicable.
  • Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining all aspects of Microsoft Active Directory Services utilizing standard Microsoft tools and supported technologies.
  • The position will also involve very strong secondary focus in all remaining areas of the Data Center to include, but not limited to, supporting the following technologies: VMware, XenCenter, Antivirus, SSL/VPN, Switches, Firewalls, and Web Filtering. 
  • The Diatherix IT departments' primary focus is excellent customer support for our user base, so candidates must possess exemplary customer care traits and great communications skills.

Job Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience scripting Operating System installations, software installations, patch and updates installations in live production environment
  • Experience with Vulnerability Scanning and Risk Management
  • Backup, restore and disaster recovery experience
  • Experience supporting LAN, WAN, network segments, internet, and intranet
  • Experience administering servers with Windows and Unix OS, routers, switches and firewalls
  • Experience administering AD, Microsoft Exchange server, SQL server
  • Experience administering VMware and Citrix XenServer virtual environment
  • Experience supporting End-point security appliances
  • Knowledge and experience managing data and email encryption strategies
  • Knowledge and Experience managing of Storage Area Network Dell EqualLogic
  • Knowledge and experience of HIPAA Security Rules implementation
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Experience interfacing with help desk customers
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to take ownership of issues
  • Experience administrating IT helpdesk
  • Troubleshoot and assist users with network and software issues and resolve when possible
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of internal/external clients
  • Can work closely with team members as well as independently
  • Sense of urgency must be demonstrated at all times
  • Resolving issues received via Ticket system, Email, or Phone
  • Suggest new processes that will help streamline IT operation infrastructure
  • Document and maintain standard operating instructions and installation procedures
  • Familiarity with call center practices and procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work in teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work effectively and with minimal direct supervision
  • Detail-oriented, Outstanding client service skills
  • Ability to interface effectively via phone or email with both technical and non-technical clients
