The iCubate mission is to provide rapid, accurate and affordable syndromic testing to all laboratories to ensure care providers have the right tools to improve care and outcomes for their patients. The iCubate team has developed the iC- System, an affordable, fully automated, molecular diagnostic platform using armPCR technology, along with a suite of syndromic infectious diseases panels, including sepsis/positive blood cultures, upper/lower respiratory tract infections, GI, mycobacteria, and more.

The iCubate team is in the early stages of launching the now FDA-cleared platform and is looking for exceptional people to join our dynamic and talented team and share in the success of achieving our mission.

Position Summary:

iCubate is seeking a highly motivated individual to become the Clinical Market Development Director (Infectious Diseases Molecular Diagnostics). This person will evangelize iCubate's mission of bringing syndromic testing to all patients and build demand for the company's products. In the senior role of Clinical Market Development Director, this individual will be instrumental in building the company's early commercial success and directly influencing both our corporate and product strategies.

The selected individual will report to the CEO and while the preference is to have the position in Huntsville, Alabama, the location is open to what makes sense to both parties. With success, this position will have specific advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

These points will be initial focus of position but will evolve as company grows:

  • Create market awareness through publications and presentations at national and regional conferences from clinical microbiology and infectious diseases key-opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Generate demand for iCubate's platform and products by successfully executing a clinical market development plan that combines both clinical evidence and traditional marketing tactics.
  • Collaborate with commercial team to build sales funnel and close new accounts through customer segmentation and targeting, lead generation, customer presentations and discussions, and literature/sales tools development.
  • Guide corporate strategy and set future product specifications through market, KOL and advisory board surveys and feedback.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, flat, startup environment where priorities may change to support key team and company goals.
  • Provide, receive and absorb direct, constructive criticism and feedback.

Qualifications:

The minimum requirements for potential candidates are as follows:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, scientific or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years experience in diagnostics sales, marketing or business development with demonstrated success in launching new products.
  • Direct experience in microbiology (bacteriology / virology) with working knowledge of syndromic testing market and products.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating customer and KOL relationships to support product introductions and market development.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the US and on occasion internationally.
